Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
A VPN protects privacy. It is not a shield for harming other people or other networks. This policy applies to everyone using a Data Point Cloud VPN subscription and forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited activity
You must not use the service to:
- send spam or bulk unsolicited messages of any kind, or operate a mail relay
- scan, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any network, server or account
- take part in denial-of-service attacks, flooding, or any other attack on a network
- distribute malware, ransomware, or run phishing or other fraudulent sites
- commit fraud, including payment fraud, carding, identity theft and account takeover
- host or distribute child sexual abuse material — we have zero tolerance for this and report it
- distribute content in breach of copyright
- harass, threaten, stalk or doxx any person
- run public proxies, exit nodes, open relays, or resell access to our network
- mine cryptocurrency or run other workloads whose purpose is to consume shared capacity
- do anything illegal under the laws of Hong Kong, of Singapore where our servers are located, or of the country you are connecting from
2. Fair use
Bandwidth is shared. We do not set a hard data cap on unlimited plans, but we may shape or limit an account whose sustained usage degrades the service for other customers. We will contact you first where we can.
3. How we enforce this
We investigate every report we receive. Depending on what we find we may warn you, limit or suspend the key, or end the subscription immediately without refund. For serious matters — attacks on other networks, fraud, or child sexual abuse material — we suspend first and ask afterwards, and we cooperate with our infrastructure providers and, where required, with law enforcement.
Because we keep no activity logs, we cannot tell from our own records who visited what. What we can do is act on the account, and we do.
4. Reporting abuse
If traffic from one of our IP addresses has caused you a problem, email [email protected] with:
- the IP address involved
- the date and time, including the time zone
- relevant log lines, headers or a description of what happened
We acknowledge abuse reports within 24 hours and tell you what action we took.
5. Changes
We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
